Eco-Tip of the week
Sierra Club book recognizes Catholics
doing their part for the environment
A new book out by the Sierra Club
devotes 9 chapters to "Faith in Action" which highlights
environmental action in each of the 50 states, District of Columbia and Puerto
Rico. The efforts include a Lenten project of hosting a light bulb swap, from
incandescent bulbs to the more environmentally friendly fluorescent bulbs. Another parish brought people together from
many faiths to protect area forests.
Faith-filled people around the world are working to protect God's
creation, one project at a time.
Recently Baptized:
Fr. Mark baptized Jordan Elizabeth
Monaghan, daughter of Dennis and Pamela Monaghan of Salisbury and Chase Roger
Paquette, son of David and Sara Paquette of Bradford. Please pray for them as they continue to grow
in God's grace.

Welcome Sr. Michelle Reynolds of the
Maryknoll Sisters of St. Dominic
Each year the Diocese of Manchester
assigns each parish a missionary speaker from a community, religious order or
affiliate to speak of the needs throughout the world. A collection is taken and at the end of the
year all the money donated to this collection is pooled together from all of
the parishes, and then an equal amount is given to all those who came to speak
to the parishes. In that way, if one
speaks at a large parish or a smaller parish, all will receive the same
amount. If you chose to donate to the
Mission Co-Op Plan, please make checks payable to St. Theresa Parish. There
will be a basket at the back of the church with a sign for this collection.
This weekend we are very fortunate to
have Sr. Michelle at each mass to speak to us about the Maryknoll sisters. Please welcome Sr. Michelle.

Pastor's
Notes:
A few people
approached me last week and asked how my time away has been. I smiled on the outside and cried on the
inside. Some people assume that if they
don't see me at church, I am away on a break.
Some people have never read the bulletin or any of the mail that I sent
them. My last vacation was Monday -
Friday. I ended up working part of each
day. The truth of it is that I haven't
had a weekend off since last July. The
Bishop suggested that I think about taking a sabbatical, a couple of months to
simply restore my energy and take time to pray and relax. I smiled, I don't think I could stand to be
away for more than two weeks. However, I
did agree to take two weeks vacation, and the diocesan office has agreed to
fulfill coverage so that I am not called back to work. I'll be away on vacation from July 21st to
August 4th, spending time with family
and friends at Merrymeeting Lake in New Durham, NH. I'm sure that you'll be in good hands with
Deacons Winton, Jim and Joe and Fr's. Flo, John, Don, Paul and another John, as
well as the many dedicated lay people of our parishes. Remember, I give strict orders that no one
get ill, or into an accident or die while I'm away. Hey, It worked last year.
