Community Blood Drive

Wednesday, August 20

2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

St. Theresa Parish Hall

If you are planning to donate blood, it is recommended that you get a good night's sleep the night before, eat a hearty lunch and drink lots of liquids before you donate.  Please bring photo ID with you.

We could use two more volunteers, one to make 10 sandwiches and one to work the second shift on Wednesday from 4:45 to 7:30 p.m.  If you can do either of these, please call the office or Mary Bianchetti at 428-3817.

At the blood drive there will also be someone taking saliva samples for potential bone marrow donations.  This is strictly voluntary and only for someone who is prepared to make that kind of commitment.

R.C.I.A. – If you or someone you know is interested in becoming Catholic or rejoining the Church, we invite you to come to an R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) inquiry and information session.  Please contact the parish office or Tom and Jan Riley at 938-5539 to make an appointment.  We can meet after one of the Masses in the parish hall or at your convenience.  Come with questions and/or concerns.  All are welcome.

Christmas Craft Fair

Saturday, December 6, 2008

Accepting Applications

If you would like to participate in the St. Theresa Christmas Craft Fair please contact Marlene Freyler at 938-2530. We recommend that you register early, because space is limited and this is a very popular craft fair

Volunteers Needed

Most of our committees take a summer break, and are starting again soon.  If you are interested in any of the ministries around the church, this is a great time of year to get involved!  Do you love to sing? The choir will begin practice soon. Enjoy gardening? The gardening committee is always looking for new members.  Want to gather together to read and learn about our faith? The Good News Reading Group will be meeting again in September.  Take a moment to look through this list of some of our committees and make a call to join one that's interesting to you.

I can testify that it was of their own accord that they made their gift, which was not merely as far as their resources would allow, but well beyond their resources; and they had kept imploring us most insistently for the privilege of a share in the fellowship of service to God's holy people - 2 Corinthians 8:4-5

Tent Revival

St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Litchfield, NH

Friday, September 12, 2008

7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

St. Francis Parish is hosting a one-day Tent Revival, featuring Father Marc Montminy of Ste. Marie Parish in Manchester, Dick Kiernan of Alpha New England, and music by David Therrien with the group, "The Silence Within". We are seeking to inspire and ignite the Spirit within us to give us the courage to go out to the world and share the love of Christ.  Join us Friday, September 12 from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.  Our theme is "We Must Go" using as inspiration the Tim Hughes song by the same name.

"We must go, live to feed the hungry, stand beside the broken, we must go.  Stepping forward keep us from just singing, move us into action"

Come for a time of seeking the voice of God through music, speakers, and opportunity for community building.  Be sure to mark your calendars today.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Sunday, October 19, 2008

Memorial Field, Concord, NH

The Making Strides for Breast Cancer 5 mile Walk encourages togetherness and support to find a cure for breast cancer. Money is raised through donations made to walkers or teams.

If you are interested in walking with other people from St. Theresa, please contact the parish office.  If we have at least 10 interested people, we can form a St. Theresa team.

World Youth Day

October 26, 2008

Join the celebration of our young people and those who minister with them on Sunday, October 26, 2008.  The celebration will begin with Mass at 3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral followed by the presentation of diocesan youth and adult awards. For more information, contact the Diocese of Manchester Office for Youth Ministry at 669-3100 x 173 or e-mail dcurran@rcbm.org

Notes from the Office

What would you like to see in the bulletin?  Starting in September we will combine our bulletin with St. Mary in Hillsboro.  This means that we will have more space available for topics of interest.  Would you like to hear what committees are doing?  More information about diocesan events?  Information about events or workshops in other parishes?  How about scriptural or spiritual passages? Please contact the parish office if you have ideas for the new bulletin.

7th, 8th, Confirmation I and Confirmation II families:  This year we will not offer the 6:00 p.m. Mass on evenings when there is class.  Students and families are expected to attend one of the regularly scheduled weekend Masses.

Bulletin Board Clean Up: As summer winds down and committees become more active, please take a few minutes to update your committee bulletin boards in the classroom hallway.  If you are interested in joining a committee, or would like more information about upcoming events, please take a moment to look at the boards and contact the committees that interest you.

Dick & Linda Mueller's 40th Wedding Anniversary:  Dick and Linda Mueller are renewing their vows at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on August 31st.  Reception for family and friends to follow in St. Theresa Parish Hall.  Please join us.
