Intention of the Living |
New Hampshire Jewish-Catholic Seder
Thursday, March 18 6:00 p.m.
at the Jewish Federation of NH, Manchester
This is an opportunity for us to pray with our Jewish brothers and
sisters and to learn more about the importance of Passover and its celebration
in the Jewish Community. If you would like to attend the Seder meal,
please contact Beth Squeglia at bsqueglia@rcbm.org
or call 669-3100 Ext. 140. Seating is limited and is available on a first
come-first serve basis. Reservations must be made by
February 26, 2010.

St. Theresa Photo Directory
St. Theresa Parish is putting
together a new family photo directory. Please consider bringing your families
in for photos.
Sign-up sheets are in the Narthex for March 4th, 5th and 6th.
This is not a fund-raiser; this is simply an effort to strengthen our
community. Frequently we know
parishioners by sight, but don't know their names or we see names in the
bulletin and don't know who they are. Many
times people call the office wanting addresses to send sympathy cards, or
personal notes to parishioners and because of privacy laws, we are unable to
provide them. This directory will make
it possible for people to communicate as part of the larger community. This is
our opportunity to put names to faces.
There will be many opportunities on weekends and evenings to have photos
taken, so please schedule an appointment at the sign-in table in the Narthex.
Martha's Ministry
A hearty thank you to all that
provided food and helped for Leon Riel's reception. As usual, the family was extremely
appreciative. Those who mourn are
blessed by the comfort you provide with your work of mercy. And in turn, you are blessed. Jeannine Aucoin, Coordinator.
Vianney Performance
Monday, April 12 @ 6:30 p.m.
St. Anselm College, Dana Center
Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus NH State Council
In
celebration of the Year of the Priest, we present Leonardo
Defilippis' latest one-man stage production, VIANNEY, a portrayal of the
life of Saint John Vianney and his story of perseverance in spite of
discouragement and adversity
Spiritual Adoptees
Approximately 3,700 babies
are aborted every day in the United States.
Won't you please consider spiritual adoption if you haven't
already? Please fill out this form and
return it in the collection basket. Then
pray this short prayer written by Bishop Sheen.
“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I
love you very much. I beg you to save
the life of the unborn baby that I have Spiritually Adopted who is in danger of
abortion.”

From the Pastor's Desk
Lent is a time for us to
focus in on what is important, and to do that our Sunday Masses are to be
experienced with a little less emphasis on celebration. The Gloria and the Alleluia are omitted. The ringing of bells at Mass will be omitted
except for Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday and our Easter Masses. The holy water fonts are empty on Ash
Wednesday and Good Friday otherwise they will be available for it reminds us of
our baptism and repentance of sins. Our
choice of music will also be noticeably different.

Operation Rice Bowl
In Luke's story of the
temptations of Jesus, we see how we can be tempted by wealth, power and esteem
just as He was. Lent calls us to focus on our faith life by living it in deeper
ways. As we begin our journey with
Catholic Relief Services' Operation Rice Bowl, let us be mindful that our
Lenten sacrifices help to give home to our brothers and sisters in need.

Spring Confirmation Program
Begins March 14
If you're in 10th, 11th or
12th grade, would like to be Confirmed on May 4, 2010 and have not attended the
six-week confirmation program, please contact the parish office to register for
classes beginning March 14.
Mass Intentions
Many people have called to
schedule Masses and are disappointed to learn that we are booking Masses into
July and August. Fr. Mark approached the
Bishop and asked for permission to have two intentions per Mass, and because we
are twinned parishes, with limited Masses at each location, the Bishop has
given his permission.
If you have already booked a
Mass for 2010 and would not mind having another intention for that Mass, please
contact the parish office. If you have
booked a Mass for 2010 its fine if you would prefer that yours is the only
intention on that Mass. We will not book
two intentions without permission from both families. This will help people get Masses sooner, as
well as helping both parishes by keeping money flowing into the church.
